BenQ has been rather active on the LCD monitor front recently. Just about a day ago, the company launched the V2410T and V2410B pair and, not such a long time before that, a budget-friendly, 24-inch LCD. Even before these announcements were made, however, namely last month, BenQ revealed the existence of the V920, V2220 and V2420. These monitors were supposed to reach stores by the second quarter and, now,
reports confirm that they will become available in April.
The display maker did its best to make sure that its three new liquid crystal display monitors had as high an image clarity and contrast ratio as possible and that they were suitable for the intended price points. As such, the new displays have a DCR (dynamic contrast ratio) of an impressive 10,000,000:1. This corresponds to a static contrast ratio of 1000:1. Furthermore, the three displays have a brightness of 250 cd/m2 and, to easily fit into any environment while adding a touch of style, they come with a slim profile. Specifically, neither of the three display solutions exceed 14 or 15 millimeters in thickness.
To continue the long list of similarities, the three products share an extra functionality, namely the Senseye Human Vision Technology, which can detect lighting conditions and, depending on the environment, can dynamically adjust contrast and brightness. This technology does not only enhance the image quality, but it also makes sure that the energy is used more efficiently, since the intensity of the LED backlight, and, thus, the power used, is reduced when appropriate.
The only notable difference between the three V-Series monitors from BenQ is their screen size. The V920 is 18.5 inches wide, and has a maximum resolution of 1366 x 768, whereas the V2220 and V2420 measure 21.5 inches and 24 inches, respectively, and support 1920 x 1080 resolutions. They will be priced at 149 Euro, 269 Euro and 339 Euro, respectively.
