Interesting how no one mentioned 3D specifically anymore

A new monitor has been released by BenQ on the high-end market, one that has 3D support even though BenQ didn't seem to bother dwelling on that little tidbit that much.

Which is strange because, in absence of 4K resolution support, 3D would have been the next big linchpin.

Then again, BenQ did implement a certain technology it hopes will draw attention: GROM, or gaming refresh-rate optimization management.

In a nutshell, it adjusts the refresh rate between 75 Hz, 100Hz, 120 Hz, and 144 Hz depending on the frame rate of the content being displayed.

The 1 ms response time is as good as you can hope too, as is the brightness of 350 cd/m2 and the 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. The 24-inch screen size is a bit small, but still good if your bedroom isn't that huge to begin with.

Finally, the BenQ black and red monitor has a pair of HDMI ports, one VGA port (D-Sub, capped at 75 Hz), and headphone/microphone jacks. The stand of the display permits both height and rotation adjustment by the way.

Unfortunately, the price is unknown. Still, the BenQ XL2430T gaming PC monitor should show up in stores soon enough, so you'll get that final information then.
