BenQ-Siemens P51 - The PocketPC with Skype

BenQ Mobile, participant to the CeBIT exhibition, has announced the BenQ-Siemens P51 Pocket PC Phone Edition. Running on Windows Mobile 5.0 OS, the device comes with a 2.8 inch TFT display capable of 240 x 320 pixel resolution
and a QWERTY keyboard.

The handset is equipped with the Skype software, allowing users to make Voice-over-IP calls using the integrated WLAN (820.11b/g) interface. It also supports connectivity through Bluetooth and USB. The phone can send and receive e-mail, the Direct Push feature informing the user immediately about newly received messages.

Another useful addition is the integrated GPS receiver and the complementary navigation software.

In terms of multimedia, the phone includes a music player supporting MP3, AAC, AAC+ formats, with equalizer and 3D surround, and a 1.3 megapixel camera with LED photolight.

The BenQ-Siemens P51 will be available in July 2006.
