A mobile phone just like any other

BenQ has presented to the public another mid-ranged mobile phone model. BenQ C31 is not a new concept and can be easily overlooked in the long line of plain looking handsets.

This cellular comes in a case identical with that of previous model BenQ-Siemens C81. Even the number is easy to be accidentally confounded. It's not only about the fact that BenQ-Siemens C31's design is actually a borrowed one. This handset also comes with common features which make it seem plain and out of fashion.

BenQ-Siemens C31is actually quite slim, at it is only 17 mm in thickness, although this won't bring it any special consideration. This phone's designer must have liked how the C81 model looked, although there is nothing exquisite about it. Indeed, the silvery case looks great and adds a touch of style to BenQ-Siemens C31, but the rounded shapes and wavy lines make it lose its elegance.

The 1.3 megapixel camera will not bring award-winning high quality pictures but it will come handy for capturing images at medium ranged quality. There are situations when such a feature comes useful and image quality is less important. Moreover, BenQ-Siemens C31 comes equipped with a display screen of only 1.8 inch and a resolution of 176 x 220 pixels.

The fact that this handset will come equipped with 20 MB of internal memory and also has a microSD expansion slot included makes it very practical. Even more, it also comes with FM radio and MP3 player, as to compete with the offer of more evolved devices.

BenQ-Siemens C31 will be available for the public starting the third quarter of this year. The first to receive it will be people living in Eastern Europe, but it has high chances of soon moving further to other countries too. This device will come for an estimate price of 130 pounds without taxes and subsidy, which is quite affordable.
