With the netbook market expected to significantly grow in the ongoing year, netbook vendors will likely launch new models that can take advantage of the developments in technology. That is also the case of BenQ, a company that is reported to be considering further expanding its netbook portfolio with the addition of a new small-sized netbook model, due to be launched later this year. BenQ is also expected to debut some all-in-one PCs, as part of the company's nScreen series of all-in-one PCs.

BenQ joined the fast growing market for netbook systems, with the introduction of the company's Joybook Lite U101 system, an 8.9-inch alternative to all of the other netbook systems on the market. The Joybook Lite boasts a very familiar Intel Atom platform, featuring the 1.6GHz Atom N270 processor, 1GB of RAM memory and hard drive, a 3-cell battery option and optional 3G connectivity. The system is designed to support both Windows and Linux operating systems, much like most of today's netbook configurations.

The netbook looks relatively nice, all the more reason for the company to upgrade the model and add some of the latest hardware components, including Intel's next-generation Atom processor, the N280. There are no specific details as to when BenQ will come out with said netbook, but the company will likely try to be faster to sell the system, as this will provide it with a higher market share.

As far as BenQ's adventure in the world of all-in-one PCs, according to a Chinese-language Economic Daily News report, cited by Digitimes, the company is expected to launch its all-in-one PCs, which will be part of its nScreen series, sometime later this month. Unfortunately, details regarding their pricing or technical specifications are yet to be unveiled.
