The two models are called BenQ DW1650 and BenQ DW1655 and both include dual cooling systems, the BenQ SolidBurn technology and also the exclusive BenQ Write Right solution. That's not all, as the DW1655 model also offers the possibility to engrave labels on the disc.

With SolidBurn, the DW1650 is able to apply its own Self-Learning. Writing Strategy algorithm is set to allow unknown DVD?R media to be written with increased quality. So there is no need for users to update the media support list in their DVD drive as the drive keeps itself up-to-date and ensures best writing quality on all DVD?R media.

The BenQ DW1655 LightScribe-enabled drive recognizes and reads special LightScribe media to ensure precise, consistent imaging on the disc surface for sharp, detailed labels.

BenQ's exclusive Write Right Technology utilizes two powerful features: Tilt Control and WOPC II (Walking Optimal Power Control II). By using these features, the DW1655 is able to maintain perfect control over the laser beam angle and the power rate being projected onto the disc, ensuring your data is written at the best possible quality.

The two DVD writers are compatible with both DVD+R and DVD-R Dual Layer formats and support recording speeds of up to 8X and 6X.
