BenQ announced last week the launch of the BenQ C36 music phone, successor to the BenQ C30. The bar handset features enhanced multimedia functionalities, upgraded 1.3 megapixel camera and a spacious 2" LCD display. The unique top key design brings direct access to FM radio, MP3 player and camera function faster.

Weighing a mere 78 grams (including battery), the C36 makes the most of available space, fitting in a big 2" screen. It's perfect for viewing photos and videos you can take with the C36's new upgraded 1.3 megapixel camera, which can also do double-duty as a webcam when connected to your PC. The cluster of controls on the top end of the C36 also gives you one-button access to photo shooting.

The C36 gives users not just a rocking MP3 player, but also an FM radio with the ability to record whatever's on the air. To share the sounds with friends, just use the dual speakers cleverly embedded in the jazzy whorls that encircle the camera lens. The C36 puts all the controls you need right on the top of the phone, so the party's always only a button press away.

The fun doesn't stop there. The C36 also adds an e-book reader and a photo editor for touching up your shots. And to store all the music, photos, video and other stuff, the C36 includes a handy MicroSD card slot. The C36 puts all these cool features together in a snazzy, streamlined phone with a distinctive lustrous blue accent for key parts like the multimedia controls, navigation pad and camera lens.

The BenQ C36 will be firstly available in Indonesia in May with other countries to follow in the coming months at a price that will be disclosed later on.
