BenQ is a Taiwanese company that is in no way specialized in mobile phones, even though there have been quite a few BenQ-branded handsets back in the days.

The smartphone market is a tough one and BenQ isn't a major player any more, but from time to time the company likes to launch one or more smartphones.

It has come to our attention that BenQ is going to announce a new Android smartphone next month at Mobile World Congress 2015 trade fair.

The information comes via Italian blog Android Hdblog, which also provides us with in-depth details on the BenQ F52's specs.

BenQ F52 is a high-end smartphone that will be powered by Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system. Judging by the specs list, this BenQ smartphone looks like a decent deal if priced accordingly.

The bad news is the smartphone will be initially launched in China through Cheetah Mobile carrier. It's unclear whether BenQ will bring the F52 in other countries as well, but for now let's take a look at its offerings.

LTE Cat 9 and a Snapdragon 810 CPU are the highlights of the phone

BenQ F52 will be equipped with a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, an Adreno 430 graphics processing unit, 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory. It also supports LTE Cat 9 (450Mbps), among other connectivity options.

The smartphone will also pack microSD card slot for memory expansion, as well as a 5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution.

On the back, the F52 will boast a 13-megapixel camera with Sony IMX214 module sensor, while in the front there will be an 8-megapixel camera for perfect selfies and video calls.

Although no details on the price and availability have been leaked yet, we're sure we will know more on these matters next month when the BenQ F52 is showcased at MWC 2015.
