BenQ showcased and let the gamers test its brand new and powerful LCD TV which is able to support the highest HD resolution on the market - the great 1920 x 1080 pixels. Furthermore, the gamers present at the Games Convention were able to hook up their consoles with BenQ's 37" TVs. But the most important features of all, especially for the gamers, is the 8ns response.

"It is the top of the tree and you can also get the 32-incher with the same resolution. Its good for games and consoles and this display/TV is much cheaper than Apple's 30-inch display that everyone is talking about," reports The Inquirer.

But even if the manufacturers are rolling out new LCD TVs, the analysts are saying that the demand may decrease dramatically in September. But WitsView Technology's latest study contradicts the previous one and shows that the demand for the LCD TVs will not drop in September and that the prices, especially for the 17-inch LCD panels will increase by 19 % in the second half of the year to $123 from $102 in July.

The research also shows that the retail costs for the 17-inch LCD panels rose 5.8 % in the first half of August, compared to the previous two weeks, and another 2.7 % in the second half of the month, informed IDG News Service. However, the price drop for the widescreens (20.1 inch to 42 inch sizes) has been nearly brought to an end.

"Users may have become accustomed to rapid price declines such as the ones the market has seen most of this year. Between April and June, for example, the price of large-sized LCD panels used in LCD TVs fell by over a fourth, compared to the first three months of the year," said WitsView cited by IDG News Service.
