BenQ keeps expanding its gaming-oriented monitor range with new models designed for various game types and the latest to make its entrance is the 24-inch XL2420T display for FPS players supporting Nvidia's 3D Vision 2 technology.

This latest BenQ monitor is developed together with a series of professional Counter Strike players as well as with Zowie Gear, a manufacturer of high-end professional gaming gears.

Like all the rest of the company's gaming monitors, the new XL2420T also supports the Black eQualizer technology that was built in order to allow gamers to brighten the image display without over-exposing white levels.

This in turn should improve their visibility in darkened areas to quickly spot the enemies that could be hiding in the shadows.

In addition, the XL2420T also comes with the S Switch remote controller that allows users to swiftly switch between customized display settings for gaming as well as entertainment.

Other features include support for the Display Mode and the Smart Scaling features, 2ms GTG and 120Hz 3D-enabled panel and support for Nvidia's 3D Vision 2 technology, including Nvidia 3D LightBoost.

“With the XL2410T turning into a grand success last winter, we simply could not wait to get started on adding even more thoughts to the XL Series design,” said Peter Chen, EVP and General Manager of BenQ Technology Product Center.

“It was encouraging to learn from the pro gamers that the XL2410T was one of the most preferred monitors in DreamHack Summer 2011, Global Starcraft II League, GamesCon 2011, ESEA which took place in the U.S. and IEM tournaments.

“With the new XL Series scheduled to appear in tournaments, LAN parties and gaming expos this winter, including Intel Extreme Master and ESL Arena, we’re excited to hear what gamers will say about the enhancements we’ve added this time,” concluded the company's rep.

No details regarding or availability were provided by the Taiwanese company, so we don't know when the XL2420T will hit the streets.
