Although the PCs' level of popularity as a gaming machine is far from what it used to be in the past, quite an important number of manufacturers keep throwing new and improved gaming-oriented LCD monitors on the market. And that's also the case with BenQ, whose X Series of computer displays, which includes three new models (X900, X2000W and X2200W) has finally arrived on the Romanian market, in an attempt to complete the company's lineup, as Mr. Bobby Durbac, Marketing Manager for BenQ, informed us.

First and foremost, it's quite interesting to mention the fact that the new gaming monitors from BenQ provide quite an OK amount of viewing space, namely 19, 20 and 22-inch diagonals. Furthermore, they come equipped with Senseye+Game, PerfectMotion and AMA technologies, which allow users to enjoy an enhanced gaming experience.

Thus, the Senseye+Game technology offers users six specialized display modes (Standard, Dynamic, Movies, Photos, Action Game and Racing Game), the two dedicated gaming modes ? Action Game and Racing Game ? offering consumers the power to fully configure their gaming experiences.

By using AMA Technology, BenQ improves the gray to gray response time for clearer images, seriously downsizing ghosting and lagging phenomena. To improve video performance, BenQ's LCD monitors also come equipped with HDMI, allowing easy connection of HD enabled equipment such as HD DVD players and the latest gaming consoles. Of course, the "old" DVI-I is still in place, so users whose computer don't offer HDMI outputs will be able to use these gaming displays as well.

Furthermore, the high-end X2200W version offers a 92% color gamut and incorporates PerfectMotion, a dynamic video display processing technology that creates a new standard for LCD monitors ? Motion Picture Response Time (MPRT). According to BenQ, PerfectMotion can provide 8ms MPRT while other typical panels provide over 20ms MPRT. And since we're on the subject of response time, the company also pointed out that all three gaming-oriented LCDs offer some pretty fast response times (5 ms / 2 ms GTG).

Beside the aforementioned features, it's also quite interesting to note that the three monitors support resolutions of up to 1680 x 1050 pixels (up to 1280 x 1024 in the case of the X900), provide a brightness level of 300 cd/m2, as well as 16.7-million colors.

Although they're quite attractive from the features' point of view, the three new models won't be exactly cheap, as they'll retail for the equivalent of around 380, 548 and 715 US dollars, respectively (some pretty high price tags for the Romanian gaming market).
