What does a red stripe make you think of? Does it give you a hint that something
sexy is coming you way? If this is the case, then your instincts are working just fine because we're all going to get some hot smartphone sweetness from BenQ Siemens.
Their E72 smartphone has been unveiled during the
3GSM show in Barcelona and if I may say so, it really is a stunner. It doesn't feature a very complex design but a simple and
extremely minimalist one with only the strictly necessary keys appearing on its body.
Nothing special about it except a very interesting slim red stripe going horizontally from one side to the other just over the device's keypad. This and the red line going round its case makes it look like a present just waiting to be handed over so, if you want to buy it for someone special after it is going to get officially launched, you won't have to buy any fancy packaging to go along with it.
It is already nicely wrapped up in a red sexy looking ribbon and adding to this its simple design with a nice
minimalistic touch, I'm sure the E72 is going to find enough people ready to take it home and off the retail stores' shelves.

The tri-band GSM E72 runs Microsoft's recently released Windows Mobile 6 Standard operating system and offers EDGE, GPRS and Wi-Fi connectivity. On top of those BenQ Siemens has laid down a 128MB ROM and 64 MB RAM memory sheet, a QVGA display, 1287 Mb of flash memory, a TI OMAP 1030 260 MHz processor, wireless Bluetooth 2.0 and a 2 megapixel digital camera just to sweeten the deal even a little more.
So, if you like
smartphones and you also like nice looking phones with pretty well balanced spec sheets, I suppose this would be the phone for you. If you don't, I'm sure you'll have enough options due to the avalanche of devices launched during the 3GSM fair.
