Good news for Matt Damon and Ben Affleck fans: for the first time in seven years, the two best friends, Damon and Affleck will star onscreen together to appear in a new real-life legal drama. They will play two lawyers battling to overturn a murder conviction in the untitled movie.
"The Good Will Hunting" Oscar-winners have taken a number of cameo roles in the same films, but last appeared together in leading roles in 1999's "Dogma". Since then, Ben starred in a lot of success movies, like "Pearl Harbor", "Paycheck" and "Gigli, while Matt played very good parts in "Bourne Identity", "Bourne Supremacy", "Ocean's Eleven" and "Ocean's Twelve".
Affleck will feature as Michael Banks and Damon as J. Gordon Cooney and they play two lawyers who secured nine stays of execution for convicted John Tompson, but finally got him cleared of all charges after a 15-year battle.
The film will be distributed by Disney's Touchstone Pictures division and will be produced by Affleck and Damon, while the script is announced to be written by Chris Murphey. This movie project is scheduled to start shooting this summer in Boston.
