Last month, word got out online that Ben Affleck would don the Batman suit in another film after Zack Snyder’s “Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice,” which will be out in theaters in March 2016 and will mark the first time these two superheroes from the DC Comics universe share the big screen.

It will also be the first time Affleck puts on the Batsuit after Christian Bale in Christopher Nolan’s “Dark Knight” trilogy - and that’s a task for which there’s a lot of pressure on him to complete honorably.

In August 2016, Warner Bros. will add another piece to their comic book-inspired puzzle, with the release of “Suicide Squad,” directed by David Ayer and bringing together the most famous villains in the DC Comics universe.

The aforementioned rumor claimed that Batman would be making a cameo in it, and that he’d be cast as “the villain.” The cameo has now been confirmed, not by Warner Bros. but by photos of Ben Affleck on the “Suicide Squad” set in Toronto.

The Daily Mail has them: Affleck isn’t shown wearing the Batsuit, but he’s seen in Bruce Wayne-type of clothes. The hairstyle also seems to match what we’ve seen of his portrayal of the fictional playboy millionaire in the first “Batman V. Superman” trailer (video below).

Considering that “Suicide Squad” also features Batman’s biggest rival, The Joker (Jared Leto), it only made sense to bring these two face to face at least once. Moreover, Warners is now working on getting their Marvel rival comics universe, Justice League, off the ground, and surprise cameos of this type are to be expected to tie these movies together and create continuity.
