Actor has hurt his shoulder, can’t even lift a child now because of it

The Bruce Wayne in “Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice,” directed by Zack Snyder and coming out in March 2016, is much older than previous incarnations, but as reports from the Detroit set would have it, he’s also a bit more damaged than before. Quite literally so.

Ben Affleck, who plays Bruce / Batman in the film, has injured his shoulder during the first weeks of production, and Batman-News is reporting, it’s bad enough to prevent him from performing any stunt or, for that matter, doing even light lifting.

The report doesn’t say how exactly Affleck hurt his shoulder but he was sent home right afterwards.

“It was hurting him pretty bad,” says a spy. “He’s putting his all into this role and it’s pretty physically demanding. The trips to the gym are two, sometimes three times a day and on set he’s like a machine.”

In the first video embedded below, at the 0.57-minute mark, you clearly see Affleck touching his shoulder as an EMS is looking at it. He seems in pain.

The second video was from the next day of shooting, when Bruce Wayne was supposed to rescue a young girl by carrying her into his arms to safety. The guy in the suit is not Affleck, it’s his stunt double, which means the injury was so severe that he couldn’t even lift the child off the ground.

Hopefully, he’ll be ok soon.
