Ben Affleck is now in Detroit shooting for “Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice,” the follow-up to Warner Bros.’ “Man of Steel,” but he’s not exactly having the best time of his life on set, ongoing reports would have us believe.

He actually hates his Batman suit, aka the Batsuit, because it’s so much trouble putting it on and taking it off. If that’s really the case, the prospect of having to wear it for at least another couple of months must be a nightmare for him.

Metro reports that Affleck is quite frustrated at having to take 30 minutes and one very helpful assistant to put on and take off the Batsuit every day. As if that weren’t bad enough, he also finds it very difficult to breathe in the Batsuit because it’s so tight it compresses his chest.

“The suit is extremely restrictive. Ben finds it hard to perform basic tasks and struggles to look natural,” an inside source is quoted as saying. “He’s constantly trying to avoid going to the toilet because it’s such an ordeal.”

It’s no secret that many of the costumes we see in movies, especially on superheroes, are troublesome because they’re either terribly impractical in real life or very heavy. No Batsuit was ever a walk in the park for its wearer, but if Ben Affleck is complaining about it, he was deceived into believing this would be easy.

He must also be the first to complain before he’s even proved himself as a good Batman.

And he needs to do that before anything else. If you’ve been keeping an eye on the whole “Dawn of Justice” saga / casting drama, you must have heard that the news Affleck was cast as Batman, a role previously nailed to perfection by Christian Bale in Christopher Nolan’s “Dark Knight” trilogy, was welcomed with severe backlash.

Large numbers of fans even started petitions to get Affleck out of the picture, all of them addressed to Warner Bros., asking them to uncast him from the part. Others took to the Internet to express their disapproval in a variety of ways, hoping against all hope that Warners might hear them and find an Affleck replacement.

Obviously, that hasn’t happened. Still, Affleck needs to prove to these fans that they were wrong in reacting this way. They are far from reassured that he’ll do a good job, especially since this is not the first time he tries his hand at the superhero genre: his take on Daredevil is one that the world will never forget because it was one of the worst superhero movies of all times.
