The famous actor says it's dangerous and tasteless

Ben Affleck proceeded to reveal a less glamorous part of the entertainment industry in a recent interview with Playboy Magazine,

in which he gripes about the issue of having his children photographed by paparazzi.

Affleck is currently on Hollywood's A-list and thus is a legitimate target for the hoards of paparazzi, and sadly so are his kids, with equally famous actress Jennifer Garner.

He tries to explain what it's like to be on the other side of the lens looking back: “They don't see that gigantic former gang member with a huge lens standing over a four-year-old and screaming to get the kid's attention.”

He admits that the job of being an actor gets him in the media's attention and he seems to be fine with that. The only part he's not happy about, is the way that the “media” seems to be interacting with his children, shoving lenses in their faces, yelling at them and stalking them.

Ben also complains that taking photos of celebrity kids to sell for money is “wrong and disgusting.” He and wife Jennifer Garner are currently looking to have a law passed in America that requires publications to blur out children's faces in photos, in order to protect their privacy.

A similar law already exists in other countries, such as UK and it seems to have had an effect on the “famous baby pictures” craze, allowing celebrities at least some form of privacy when it comes to their families.

The moral issue here is that the families of celebrities, and especially small children, haven't entered this vicious circle willingly, they are just collateral victims.

This is why Affleck feels frustrated: “As their father it's my job to protect them from that stuff. I try my very best, and sometimes I'm successful.”
