Jennifer Garner claims she’s “pudgy” now: this is what “pudginess” looks like

The Afflecks are very busy right now, with Ben Affleck promoting a new movie, out in theaters, while wife Jennifer Garner is prepping for two upcoming releases. Whether they like it or not, they’re forced to talk about their life as a couple, the other’s working projects, and how they impact their life together.

Take for instance Ben Affleck’s bulking up to play Batman in Zack Snyder’s “Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice,” which doesn’t come out until 2016 but is now shooting in Detroit.

The actor is said to have gained about 30 pounds (13.6 kg) of muscle to play the Caped Crusader, with his wife admitting that this was her excuse to let herself go. If that’s what you call a woman who looks at the top of her game as far as fitness and health go: the photo attached to this article can serve as reference.

Jennifer Garner is “pudgy” now

In an interview with Ryan Seacrest to promote “Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day,” Garner talks about the balance she and Ben have found when it comes to the demands imposed on them by working in the movie industry.

At this point, most actors are under pressure to lose / gain weight or bulk up / stop training whenever they pick up a new project, but Ben and Jennifer have found just the thing to help them cope: when one of them goes on a diet, the other gets to do whatever they like. It’s probably a good thing they don’t count on the other’s support to stick to the diet and strict workout routine.

“There’s something about it… whenever one of us has to be really good, the other one pudges up,” Jennifer explains. “I don’t know why it is, but I blame my pudginess on his strict and disciplined place in life. There’s something about it that just makes me like, ‘Well, I’m gonna have a bonbon. I’m gonna have some ice cream’,” she told Seacrest, as cited by Us Weekly.

Affleck, on the other hand, had his work cut out for him because he was put on a strict diet and made to work out twice a day. All his food was steamed, and according to Jennifer, she was forced to cook only healthy dinners or he “wouldn’t even look” at the food.

She’s not pudgy but she’s definitely hilarious

Let’s make one thing clear from the start: Jennifer Garner, no matter how many bonbons or scoops of ice cream she allowed herself during Ben’s strict program to shape up, is in no way “pudgy.” She is the very opposite of that, if anything.

However, she is very funny. Embedded below is a video from her appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, the segment in which she talks about Ben and “his little movie” and a very special cameo included in it, one that sent the Internet into overdrive when Affleck “casually” mentioned it at the end of last week, conveniently right before the film’s opening night.

Watch the video to find out what that is, we’re not going to spoil it for you.
