It looks like Canadian carriers Bell and Virgin Mobile will offer their prepaid customers the possibility to unlock their iPhone devices.

According to a Bell internal document, leaked via MobileSyrup, effective November 26, both carriers will be able to support customer requests for unlocking the iPhone via Bell’s Credit and Prevention Team or Virgin Care.

Obviously, all iPhone models are supported, but customers will need to meet specific criteria before paying the $75/€60 onetime payment in order to get their smartphones unlocked.

First of all, they must own an iPhone on no term and they must not be on any contract. Secondly, they must be a post-paid Bell or Virgin Mobile customer.

The information leaked several days ago at iPhoneCanada, and today a Bell document confirms it. Stay tuned for more updates on the matter.
