Canadian carrier Bell has just refreshed its Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update schedule. According to the operator, the Samsung Galaxy S II HD LTE is expected to receive this update sometime in August.

However, the folks over at XDA Developers have just released a CyanogenMod 9 ROM for the Galaxy S II HD LTE. In fact this is a port of the CyanogenMod 9 (stock Android 4.0 ICS) to this model/

Developer and forum user dsixda has just released an alpha build, “which is based off Team Chopsticks' port for the Samsung Galaxy S2 Skyrocket and adjusted for the superior hardware of the GS2 HD LTE.”

Most of the features work smoothly with a few exceptions listed below:

- Front camera is disabled for now; it requires Samsung ICS update or ICS binaries from a phone that has the same sensor;
- Overclocking/underclocking;
- MHL.

For more details on how to download and install this CyanogenMod 9 ROM, head over to the original thread.
