Canadian carrier Bell introduced the HTC One V back in May and the smartphone has been quite popular among Android enthusiasts especially that the device was available for free on contract.

Today, Bell announced a new software update is available for all HTC One V devices, which promises to bring many improvements and tweaks meant to enhance the overall stability of the smartphones.

Dubbed software version 2.19.666.3, the update adds improvements to stability and performance such as: fixed rare instances of SIM card detection failure, improved responsiveness to internet search.

In addition, the update addresses the inability to forward and rewind in HTC Music widget. The update is pushed OTA (over the air) beginning today.

Keep in mind that due to the fact that Bell rolls out the update in stages, not all HTC One V owners will receive it at the same time.
