LG Optimus 4G LTE was officially introduced in Canada back in November with Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system out of the box.

However, LG promised that an upgrade to Ice Cream Sandwich would be available for download sometime this year. Well, it looks like that time has finally arrived and LG Optimus 4G LTE owners have started to receive the promised update.

Major carrier Bell Mobility has just confirmed via Twitter that the update is now available for download via LG Mobile Support Tool, as well as OTA (over the air).

Those who have yet to be notified on the update should head over to Settings / About phone / System software updates / Check now. In case it doesn’t show on the screen, we recommend LG Optimus 4G LTE owners to check back later.
