Owners of the LG Optimus L5 on the network of Canadian wireless carrier Bell should be able to download and install a new OS flavor on their handsets, namely the Jelly Bean platform release, the latest reports on the matter suggest.

Apparently, Bell has already started to push the new firmware to its LG Optimus L5 users, providing them with all the benefits and enhancements that Android 4.1.2 was packed with.

The update should improve the performance capabilities of the device, while also providing users with some new features that are part of the Android OS, yet no info on what other enhancements LG might have packed inside the software has been provided as of now.

The new software should land on devices over the air, it seems. As MobileSyrup notes, users can check on its availability by going to Settings > About phone > Software update > Update.
