Belkin has kicked off sales of its new Thunderbolt Express Dock, a compact dock for Mac computers with Thunderbolt ports that offers seamless data transfers, support for HD displays, and instant access to desktop peripherals.

What makes Belkin’s Thunderbolt Express Dock special is that it lets you create high-speed transfers between your laptop and up to eight other devices (including FireWire, Ethernet, USB, and daisy-chain) via a single cable.

“With Thunderbolt Express Dock, all your drives, networking, input and output devices connect to the 8 ports on the back,” says Belkin. “In short, eight cables become one cable.”

The design complements any Mac but, unfortunately, so does the price – $299.99 / €229.72. You can buy one now via Belkin’s online store, or through partnering retailers.

Note that the Thunderbolt cable is not included, so you’ll need to provide your own.
