As technology advances, home users are increasingly incorporating various digital devices that are meant to make their lives easier in the long run. On that note, Belkin has recently announced the introduction of its new wireless Home Base, a device that is meant to simplify a user's wireless home network. The new solution has been designed to work with the network's router and enable users to attach an external printer or storage solution, which can be shared across the network, for all PC users to take advantage of.

Belkin's new Home Base device will provide computer users with the means to share access to their home printer, for everyone to access via a wireless connection. In addition, thanks to the four USB 2.0 ports, users can connect one or several external hard drives, which can be accessed by all of those in said network. This eliminates the need for complicated wired connections between all the PCs in a network, making Belkin's Home Base an ideal choice for those who want to take advantage of an optimized home network.

Additionally, the Belkin Home Base is also designed to provide a couple of extra features that make it a considerable choice for home users. For example, the device can be set up to periodically back up each connected PC's files, which can be stored on the external drives. In addition, it can also be used to automatically upload new photos to a Flickr or Picassa account, while gaming consoles like PS3 or Xbox 360 can connect wirelessly to the Home Base and access the media files stored on any of the attached hard drives.

According to Belkin, the new Home Base device is already available in the States for a price tag of US$129.99, which will provide users with all of the aforementioned features inside a small, compact and elegant sharing solution.
