A new Oculus Rift game is up on Kickstarter and it certainly isn't like any other game as players take the role of a bird. The project is called Being a Bird and hopes to get $2,500 / €1,800 until November 30.

The game's goal is to offer players a relaxing experience where they can explore a virtual world in the same way a bird does or even try more interesting challenges that are available.

As I have already mentioned, Being a Bird is developed using Oculus Rift Virtual reality system and the creator, Mike Johnson, has already incorporated much of the game's basics.

Of course things are not completely done, as he must still finish detailing the models and script, plus polishing the game and fixing the bugs.

Interested gamers ought to know that it requires a “fairly modern PC with a decent video card, an Oculus Rift, and a mouse with a mouse wheel or a mouse and keyboard (mouse wheel recommended).”

Users can look around while on the ground with the mouse, but in mid-air, they need the Oculus Rift VR headset.

Developer Mike Johnson hopes to have it released “on GOG as DRM-free software for about $6.99 by March 2014.”

The sum he hopes to obtain will be used to purchase a Unity Pro license so that he may get the game off the ground, a few more assets from the Unity Asset store such as 3D models and other things to use in the game.

Moreover, extra funding will give the chance to improve the game even more by acquiring some good menu music, a Razer Hydra support as well as hiring artists and so forth.

Children as well as adults can take on this game, as if offers a one of a kind comforting gameplay experience. If users want to help the game be released, they should pledge their support on Kickstarter.
