Robert de Niro will soon be back on the big screen in a film that will potentially leave fans in awe. The first trailer for “Being Flynn” has been released, and to say that it's very promising would be quite an understatement.

Directed by Paul Weisz on a script based on Nick Flynn's book “Another B[expletive] Night in Suck City,” the film tells the story of a young author, Nick, who discovers his father years after he disappears from his life.

Oddly enough, they are reunited at a shelter for the homeless, where the older Flynn comes in search of a bed for the night and some food.

The film stars Paul Dano as Nick, Olivia Thirlby and the always beautiful Julianne Moore as the deceased mother.

From the trailer, one can easily see why de Niro fans are expecting his best performance in years, one that might actually win him some awards in the next season.

“Being Flynn” doesn't come out in theaters until the spring of 2012, but check out the trailer above to make sure it's something you'd want to see.
