‘Bed Intruder’ Star Antoine Dodson Arrested for Possession

Antoine Dodson shot to fame when he was interviewed by a local news station over a break-in in his home and an alleged assault on his sister. Since then, he’s been working to launch his career in showbiz, which just came across an obstacle with his recent arrest.

Dodson, the man responsible for the “bed intruder” song, was taken into custody for possession – and charged with other misdemeanors as well, from older violations, TMZ reports.

Dodson was arrested in the wee hours of Saturday, was booked and then released.

“Dodson was popped in Alabama by Huntsville PD at around 2:30 AM. He was booked on a misdemeanor charge of possession of marijuana and released a short time after,” TMZ reports.

However, when he was arrested, officers noted that there were other pending charges on Dodson’s name.

“According to the jail’s website, Dodson was hit with a few other misdemeanor charges – two for failing to appear on a traffic charge, one for failing to have insurance and one for speeding,” TMZ further says.

It is believed Antoine was released a few hours later, after posting bail.

At the end of January this year, Dodson was shooting the pilot of his own reality series, which would focus on his moving to Hollywood in search of fame, as we also informed you at the time.

The show did not have an official name, but it was produced by Entertainment One, which was looking for a network to pick up a full season of it.

At the time we reported on this, Dodson had already shot lots of footage for the pilot, mostly centered on him moving out of Alabama and into West Hollywood.

Since then, nothing much has been heard of the project – and it’s yet unsure whether Dodson’s recent arrest will hinder production in any way.
