Knowing the weather forecast is an extremely important factor for most people, as it allows them to plan ahead certain events, what they're going to wear in a certain day, or simply lets them know what to expect from the outside weather. And even if the title is, admittedly, a bit exaggerated, the two new forecasters presented by Ambient Devices could really come in handy, as they provide weather-related info for either 5 or 7 days ahead.

This is possible due to the fact that the 5-Day and 7-Day Forecasters receive updates from weather sources throughout the day via the Ambient Infocast Network, which reaches over 90% of U.S. households. Both show current conditions and an extended multi-day forecast for 150 locations in the United States including the current temperature and trend, expected high and low temperatures and an easy-to-read icon to represent expected weather conditions (e.g., "sunny" or "cloudy" or "rain", etc.) for each day. The Ambient 5-Day Forecaster sports a 4x4 inch screen and the 7-Day Forecaster has a 6x6 inch display. Furthermore, both products include text descriptions conditions and a color-changing backlight to indicate the current temperature at a glance (blue hues = cold temps, red hues = warm temps). The 7-Day Forecaster also provides UV Index, wind speed and direction, pollen alerts and air quality alerts.

"Ambient Forecasters liberate weather information from the Internet and the television," said Mark Prince, VP Sales & Marketing. "With an Ambient Forecaster in your home or office, you're always prepared at a glance. Unlike the Internet or TV forecasts, Ambient's Forecasters provide weather information instantly, anywhere you need it, in a simple format that is always up to date. You can place these Forecasters in your bedroom, kids' rooms, a bathroom or dressing room, and they will instantly and effortlessly inform your day and save time."

The two new forecasters will hit the shelves later on this year for around 150 US dollars (the 5-day version) and around 200 US dollars (the 7-day) version, which are not exactly very small price tags, but the people who want to keep themselves informed at all times regarding the upcoming weather conditions will probably fork out said amounts.
