Ubuntu Touch is still in its development stages, but a developer thought that the lock screen concept used by Canonical is cool and decided to make an almost identical one for Android.

The lock screen for Ubuntu Touch has a very limited functionality and most of its features are not working yet. This hasn't stopped the developers from Rotary Heart from making an Android version.

The application is offered under the name of “Ubuntu Lockscreen” and it is free of charge. Users can define a few of the animations, the default message and phone applications used to show the counters on the main screen, and even a password-locking feature that uses the Ubuntu font.

The version available on Google Play is numbered as 1.0.0, but the developers have explained that it's still a Beta release. There is still much room for improvement, but it's very impressive for a first release.
