The theme will not be compatible with the older GNOME versions or Ubuntu

Zukitwo, a beautiful theme designed for GNOME 3.12 that makes use of the GTK2 engine Murrine and the GTK2 pixbuf engine, has been updated.

The Zukitwo theme was one of the first to get GNOME 3.12 support, shortly after the launch of the new desktop environment. Its designers have worked hard to update the theme and now a new version has been made available.

According to the changelog, support has been added for the Unity client side decoration, but the package is still designed to work mostly with GNOME 3.12 (Ubuntu is still based on GNOME 3.12).

The developer doesn’t provide any binary files for the theme, only the source package. This means that you will have to manually copy the files in the appropriate folder. You can activate the theme by using an application like GNOME Tweak Tool.

Also, there still are some problems. For example, the IDE software Eclipse/Aptana may have some strange color bugs, and GNOME Files has a small weird padding on the infobar.

The theme has two requirements: GTK2 engine Murrine 0.98.1.1 or later and GTK2 pixbuf engine or the gtk(2)-engines package.
