14 DAY TRIAL // Geary, a lightweight email program designed around conversations and built for the GNOME desktop by the Yorba software group, is trying to raise money through a crowdsourcing effort on Indiegogo.
A preliminary version of Geary has already been launched, but the developers will need some serious money in order to provide a state-of-the-art email client.
The software is developed by Yorba, the same team responsible for Shotweell, a photo manager that is the default applications in major Linux distributions such as Ubuntu and Fedora.
The money raised through the Indiegogo project will allow the engineers to work exclusively on the software, and to implement features such as as-fast-as-you-can-type searching, always-on notification for new emails, support for all major mail servers, and much more.
