The Beatles is surely one of the most popular rock groups in the entire world with millions of fans all around the planet. As expected, many of the fans are also Internet users, a matter which obviously creates the need of digital content concerning their favorite music genre. The only problem was that the parties which tried to collaborate on bringing the Fab Four's music on the web could not reach an agreement so no digital content from The Beatles. Until today. Because Paul McCartney, who is actually pretty famous when it comes to The Beatles, announced that the long expected music will reach the virtual world anytime soon, probably next year.

"It's all happening soon. Most of us are all sort of ready. The whole thing is primed, ready to go -- there's just maybe one little sticking point left, and I think it's being cleared up as we speak, so it shouldn't be too long. It's down to fine-tuning, but I'm pretty sure it'll be happening next year, 2008. You've got to get these things right. You don't want to do something that's as cool as that and in three years' time you think, 'Oh God, why did we do that?!"Paul McCartney told Billboard.com according to PC World.

Now, there's a problem. The Beatles joins one of the most controversial sides of the Internet where the copyright caused numerous lawsuits and legal disputes. You know, I'm talking about the copyright infringement lawsuits which are filed for every single piece of content published on a website without the approval of the copyright holder.

At this time, there's only one name that comes to my mind but it's not involved in the music competition. However, YouTube was often smashed by more or less virulent complaints which stated that Google's video sharing service published clips without authorization.
