Season four of “Duck Dynasty” will feature a new addition to the family – Phil and Kay's oldest son, Alan Robertson upon its August 14 debut.

47-year-old Robertson is sure to stand out from the rest of his family, due to the lack of facial hair. Robertson is the beardless son in the West Monroe family.

“The beards are so iconic. [...] All this time I’ve been flying under the radar; I can go to Starbucks and get Mama coffee,” Alan tells the New York Post.

He does admit to letting his beard grow out during hunting season, however. He hasn't taken part in the A&E show “Duck Dynasty” so far because he is worried about how that can impact his family.

“My children are grown, but all of my brothers’ children are teenagers now, so how is this crazy world going to impact them?” Alan says.

“We think about John Luke and Sadie, who are such a big part of the show, and they’re teenagers, you know? They need to be just normal teenagers. We pray about that,” he adds.

He has two daughters with Lisa, his wife of 29 years. Apart from Anna and Alex, there are two granddaughters and 12 nieces and nephews that he has to think about.

He attends the White’s Ferry Road Church of Christ and he is passionate about supporting his church via the reality show.

“What I do for our church — you see, it’s a pretty good-sized church — impacts a lot of people, but because of my association with the show, I’ll get to minister to a lot more people.

“Any person that’s an evangelist, that’s what you want to do, so I had to give this up for something possibly bigger,” he explains.
