Android users who have been drooling over Griffin's Beacon universal remote have now a reason to rejoice as the company has finally released an Android version of its popular gadget.

The wireless AV controller connects with Android devices, either smartphones or tablets, via Bluetooth and then transforms the input received from users into infrared in order to work with HDTV, DVRs, stereos, and other gadgets.

Installation is as simple as it gets since it only requires the user to download the Dijit app for Android and pair the tablet/smartphone with his (or her's) new universal remote.

You don't have to worry about the Beacon not working with your home entertainment system as the remote is compatible with more than 200,000 devices.

The only catch is that you will need at least the 2.3.3 version of Android, but this shouldn't be a problem for most of you.

Griffin's Beacon is available as we speak for $69.99 through Best Buy.
