The demo will become available next week, but not for everyone

The action-adventure Devil May Cry series is a well-known franchise, with many other components besides the video games. If any of you ever wanted to slash, chop, pierce or shoot your foes in a similar style but with a more feminine touch, then Bayonetta is where you'll find your answer. A project regarded with a lot of reservation by gamers, Hideki Kamiya’s latest game, Bayonetta, is about to give players a taste of what the main heroine’s got, since, by the time next week is up, the Bayonetta demo will become available.

The demo will come to both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, but they won't be the same. Similarities between the two demos will be shared by the two consoles in the form of the available Tutorial mission and the Angel's Metropolis stage. But the Xbox 360 will get an extra level, the Falling Clock Tower, which is the prologue. The demo will become available in Japan on October 8 and has Platinum Games for developer on the Xbox 360 version and Sega, which also acts as the publisher for the game, for the PS3.

The game has been tagged as the next Devil May Cry, and even though that should generally be a good thing it could also be a bad one. DMC follows the stories of Sparda's sons, the demon lord that escaped Hell and came to Earth to protect humanity. Dante, the main character, has inherited his father's ultimate sword fighting skills and puts them to use against the demonic forces. But this game is one of those that give a fiercer representation of demons and devils, not graphically but in terms of power.

Concerning the bad news for Bayonetta, Devil May Cry 3, a game it's supposed to be much alike, is the only one that got a re-release just so that the difficulty level could be modified. The game was so difficult that a lot of players complained about not being able to get past the first level, or even the first battles. Completing said game would earn you the title of game god, since if the fights with the normal nameless lackeys were overwhelming, the boss fights were downright ridiculous. Let's hope Bayonetta won't have to face the same odds, even if she will be up against the other side of the war, with angelic adversaries.
