Bayonetta: Bloody Fate got a brand-new trailer, and this time around, the animated feature's makers decided to deliver it with the English voice cast instead of the usual Japanese voiceover.

Bloody Fate is a Japanese anime film based on Platinum Games' 2009 action hit Bayonetta, released at the end of last year in Japan, and now making its way to DVD and Blu-Ray in October, with English voiceover work.

The animation is being handled by Gonzo and director by Fuminori Kizaki, who was also in charge of the very atmospheric cult series Afro Samurai, so it's really no surprise that the trailer looks this impressive.

Gonzo is a legendary anime studio, having a ton of notable series under their belt, including Hellsing, Vandread, Afro Samurai, and the Blade & Soul animated television adaptation, to mention a few.

The new trailer was shown during Nintendo's San Diego Comic-Con stream, boasting the iconic heel-guns in action, as well as a ton of over-the-top footage. The movie was pretty well-received in Japan, praised by critics for being true to the source material, and its popularity translated into the Japanese voice cast being contracted for the upcoming Bayonetta 2.

Bayonetta is also getting a video game sequel, coming exclusively to the Nintendo Wii U console, due out on September 20 in Japan, and in October in North America and Europe.
