Developer Platinum Games is once again stressing the fact that Bayonetta 2 would not be in development if video game publisher Nintendo did not put up the resources required to launch the game exclusively on the Wii U home console.

Hideki Kamiya, the developer heading the creation of Bayonetta 2, has taken to Twitter to once again explain the situation to fans of the series and make it clear that his team is grateful for the support that it is receiving.

When Bayonetta 2 was first announced as coming exclusively to the Wii U console, many gamers complained about the deal and accused Platinum Games of being greedy and of getting a big payment from Nintendo to ignore other platforms.

The game is expected to launch before the end of the year and will include unique mechanics for the new console.
