The development team working on Bayonetta 2 will offer touch controls for the Wii U experience on launch, allowing players to use the GamePad to control the witch and her arsenal of powers and moves.

The optional controls can be used with easy and very easy difficulty levels and they allow newcomers to the series to defeat strong enemies and quickly clear areas using swipes and taps, according to Eurogamer.

The user interface will actually offer prompts so that players can launch special attacks when they are available and Bayonetta herself will be able to choose the best way to take out a targeted enemy.

Touch screen controls are a concession to accessibility but veterans of the first title in the series will be more interested in traditional ways of guiding the character.

Bayonetta 2 arrives exclusively on the Wii U in 2014.
