Nintendo revealed that Bayonetta 2, the Nintendo Wii U exclusive sequel to 2010's action hit, would be release worldwide on October 24.

The news comes from the latest Nintendo Direct presentation, where it was revealed that Platinum Games' second installment in the franchise would be available in three different versions.

The First Print Edition will be a limited run of 15k copies, coming with boxed versions of both Bayonetta and Bayonetta 2 in a special case, as well as an Art of Bayonetta 2 book, fashioned to resemble The Hierarchy of Laguna tome from within the game.

The second variant is the Special Edition, which comes with both games in separate cases, but no extra swag and goodies, and the third and final incarnation is the Solus Edition, which is a fancier way of saying Bayonetta 2 in a retail box.

Both Bayonetta and Bayonetta 2 will be launched together on the Wii U eShop on October 24, in North America as well as in Europe, and gamers who purchase either game will receive a discount on the other one.

If you're still on the fence about whether the game is worth it or not, Nintendo released a brand new trailer showcasing the game's tone and main features, such as driving cars up buildings, spanking demons and all sorts of space and time traveling.
