Battlestar Galactica is one of the most interesting sci-fi franchises existent at the moment. The
original series had a very old school vibe to it when it was aired in the 1970s. Even if it was quickly canceled and spawned a very short revival, which also enjoyed limited success, the idea of Battlestar Galactica was good enough to lead to a 2003 re-imagination of the series, which is now at its fourth and final season on the Sci-Fi network. The series follows a ragtag fleet of human survivors as they search for Earth while combating the Cylons, who have carried through near total annihilation of the human race.
It is set as a sort of prequel to the television series, indifferent to the continuity used, and it follows the adventures of a young pilot called Adama as he fights the Cylons in the First Cylon War, before he becomes the commander of the Galactica.
The main protagonist is a Viper space fighter used to take on Cylon Raiders and Cylon Basestars. The final battle is set against the Imperious Leader, called Erebus in the game. All in all, there are 20 levels in the game and five pilotable spacecrafts, with the Vipers being accompanied by a Bomber and a Cylon Raider for a covert mission.
