The development team at Visceral Games might be focused on introducing some changes to the upcoming Battlefield Hardline based on the feedback offered by the community during the open beta period, but they are also aiming to convince gamers that the coming experience will be entirely authentic, despite the move to a new theme.

One of the defining elements of the first-person shooter is its focus on speed and dynamic firefights, and the company is using a new video to show the way sound is used to make the world come alive.

Visceral Games states, "The guns featured in Battlefield Hardline have been fired and recorded in all kinds of environments to make the experience as believable as possible. This kind of immersion is also present when you’re flooring it with Hardline’s muscle cars or hopping into sleek bikes. With the help of some Need for Speed tech, we’ve worked hard on the feeling of really being behind the wheel."

Sounds are important in first-person shooters, especially those focused on multiplayer matches, because gamers can use cues to know where their enemies are and how to interact with their allies.

Visceral Games says that in Battlefield Hardline the commitment to realism will mean that for all modes, both new and classic, gamers will be able to use an array of weapons and items to tackle the various objectives.

Battlefield Hardline needs to be a solid experience on launch

The new title from Visceral Games and Electronic Arts was initially supposed to arrive in the fall of last year, but it was delayed after the community raised concerns about its quality following the first testing period.

Since then, the two companies have increased the differences between the two sides and they recently offered plenty of details on both the vehicles and the items that can be used in Battlefield Hardline.

During the recent beta, the title had some issues with the network infrastructure and those must be eliminated in time for the fall launch in order to make sure that gamers can get into matches and that no significant patches will be required for the title to run smoothly for all gamers.

Battlefield Hardline will be out on the Xbox One, the PlayStation 4, the PC and last-gen consoles on March 17 in North America and on March 19 in Europe.
