With Battlefield Hardline now out and in the hands of a lot of gamers, the development team at Visceral Games and publisher Electronic Arts are exploring options for the first major update for the first-person shooter, and it seems that there are some clear changes the two companies are determined to make.

On the official forums, Thaddeus Sasser, who is the leading developer for the multiplayer side of the title, explains that this does not represent a full list of the tweaks that will be made and that for now there's no information on when the patch will be launched.

A full list of the changes planned for Battlefield Hardline can be seen by clicking the button at the end of this article, with most of them focused on reducing various weapons’ attributes in order to make sure that the battles are more balanced than they are at the moment.

The ending of the post from the Visceral Games developer reads, "ROUND 1 - FIGHT! - Just kidding, be nice to each other. We've tested these changes and find them to be good improvements, look forward to constructive feedback."

Visceral Games is currently gathering direct feedback from the community via the forums and other forms of social media, but it is also using data from the actual matches in order to get a clear image of the shape Battlefield Hardline is in.

Battlefield Hardline is also preparing for its first piece of DLC

Visceral Games and Electronic Arts have been talking about the downloadable content for the shooter since before it was actually launched, with four major packs set to be introduced in 2015 and 2016.

The first of them is called Criminal Activity and will focus on small jobs gamers will be able to perform in order to get more money that they can then use to get more items for their character, opening up more ways to approach battlefield challenges.

The DLC does not have an official launch date, but it will be first introduced to those who are subscribers to the Premium service, which also offers other advantages.

Visceral Games says that it might also introduce free content for Battlefield Hardline in order to respond to the feedback coming from the community.
