PS3 and Xbox 360 test versions will also be offered ahead of October launch

Battlefield Hardline, the next iteration in the first-person shooter series, will get a beta stage on the Xbox One in the near future, as well as on PS3 or Xbox 360, which will be completely different than the current test build available on PC and PS4.

Electronic Arts made quite a few surprise announcements at E3 2014, including the fact that the Battlefield Hardline beta is available right now on the PC and PS4 platforms.

As you can imagine, Xbox One owners are feeling left out, but DICE General Manager Karl-Magnus Troedsson has revealed that they will be able to test the game on their own console ahead of Hardline's launch in October.

"We will have a beta on all platforms before release," he told TotalXbox. "But it won't be this beta on Xbox. It's not going to be the same version, just to be clear."

Apparently, DICE and Hardline developer Visceral Games have learned a few things after the glitch release of Battlefield 4 last year and want to offer different test builds ahead of launch in order to see how the game performs in real-life conditions.

Battlefield Hardline launches on October 21 for the PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
