Battlefield Hardline might have been recently delayed, but both developer Visceral Games and publisher Electronic Arts are keen to keep interest in the shooter high, which means that at Gamescom 2014 they are delivering a new video for the game, featuring no less than 12 minutes of single-player action.

The footage shows how the main characters get out of a rather tough situation and explains how important the choices of the player will be to the story and the gameplay.

Battlefield Hardline will allow for stealth takedowns and approaches, and all the new features are commented by Ian Milham, creative director at Visceral Games.

The developers have promised that the entire structure of the story will be modeled on that of popular TV crime dramas and that all the main characters will be fleshed out and believable.

The narrative centers on a detective who needs to pursue a major drug shipment across the United States and deal with some personal demons in the process.

Battlefield Hardline will be launched at some point in 2015, after being delayed from its original fall date in order to give the development team at Visceral Games more time to polish both the single- and the multiplayer experiences.
