The development team at Visceral Games and publisher Electronic Arts are announcing that they will deliver the new Criminal Activity downloadable content pack for all those who subscribe to the Premium service for Battlefield Hardline on June 16, regardless of the platform on which they own the title.

All other gamers who have the first-person shooter can get access to the same content on June 30.

Premium is a service that enhances the Battlefield Hardline experience but requires a monthly payment, and EA has never said what percentage of the player base uses it.

Criminal Activity introduces four new maps, all of them designed to instigate more close quarters engagements with a higher degree of dynamism.

The Bounty Hunter mode, with a unique set of rules, will also be added to Battlefield Hardline, and there are also innovative masks for gamers to use and more weapons that they can choose to equip, as well as attachments.

Criminal Activity is introducing a special nail gun on all maps, more music for gamers to listen to and extra vehicles.

All those who want to see all the new maps for Battlefield Hardline in action can log into the official Twitch account of the game right now to see some of the pro players in action.

Battlefield Hardline is due to get three other major DLC packs

When the new shooter in the series was announced as being developed by Visceral Games, many long-term fans were disappointed, which resulted in them moving away from the classic military action.

A beta did nothing to increase trust in Battlefield Hardline, but after it was delayed, the core ideas were expanded upon, and the shooter managed to deliver some solid sales when it arrived earlier in the year.

Visceral Games and Electronic Arts are planning to launch another three major DLC packs for it, one of which will apparently arrive in 2016.

The team at DICE, which created Battlefield, is at the moment putting all its efforts in Star Wars Battlefront, which will be introduced on November 17.

Electronic Arts has suggested that it plans to announce another core Battlefield title in 2016, with launch probably set for 2017.
