Visceral's upcoming first-person shooter Battlefield: Hardline is currently in beta on the PlayStation 4 and PC platforms, and some industrious players has managed to unearth some of the hidden gems buried within the beta's files.

The digging has seen the discovery of hidden weapons, new gameplay modes, sound files and map names, and there is even a video showing the new weapons in action.

The unearthed information has been revealed by YouTube user Hattiwatti, who dug up the following weapons: M93R Hand Gun, M1911 Hand Gun, RS357 Magnum, MAC-10 Personal Defense Weapon, M240B Light Machine-Gun, SR-25 ECC Designated Marksman Rifle, L96A1 Bolt-Action Rifle, SMAW Launcher, and the M18 Smoke Grenade.

He also claims to have discovered the names of additional maps, revealing them to be High Tension, Bank, Bloodout, Desert 05, Hollywood Hills, Growhouse Eastside, Turf War, Blood Money, Hotwire, Heist, Crosshair, Rescue, and Hacker.

Reddit user SkacikPC went through the game's audio files in order to discover various dialogue snippets related to new game modes, maps and weapons.

Desert 05 hostage rescue (no official map name so far) is believed to be a hostage rescue mission against a gang running a methamphetamine lab.

Turf war on High Tension is most likely a domination cameo, as in recent interviews a Visceral employee said that up to that point Conquest was not included in Hardline.

There are also a bunch of hostage sound files, mainly variations of words, "hey/over here/help me," with one exception of "Hey man cut me loose."

Molotovs/incendiary sound files indicate the existence of incendiary bombs, whilst in-game weapon name states Molotov. Most likely it will stay as incendiary as currently it uses BF4 incendiary grenade particle effects.

Map called "Growhouse" will have an evolution event with blowing up van, and there is also a single-player level with the nickname "Chop Shop," which is most likely a warehouse being raided by the player and ending up in flames.

There are also various sound files containing impact sounds of empty .45 shells on various surfaces, nicknamed "Distraction bullet," which may indicate that the single-player mode has some stealth mechanics.

Battlefield: Hardline is currently scheduled to come out on October 21, for the PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One platforms, and an open beta testing period will kick off this fall.
