There are more modes, weapons and vehicles

Battlefield: Hardline was dealt a hard blow when the development team at Visceral Games and publisher Electronic Arts announced that it would be delayed to the first few months of the current year, and the two companies are eager to show players the positive effect that the extra time had on the core mechanics of the first-person shooter.

Steve Papoutsis, the general manager of the studio working on the title, has taken to Twitter to answer questions from fans and he insists that the title now offers more content to explore and expanded modes for multiplayer.

The voice work has been remade and now gestures are also used by players to communicate when they meet enemies.

Weapons are now asymmetrical for the two factions, the criminals and the cops, in order to give players more incentive to try and experience both sides of the battle.

Five more modes have been introduced to Battlefield: Hardline since the first beta, during which the community offered quite a bit of negative feedback about the shooter.

Spray tags are included in the title and gamers can enjoy 27 vehicles on the streets of the fictional multiplayer maps, each with their own advantages and weaknesses.

Steve Papoutsis also explains that a number of maps take place at night and gamers will have to choose between 51 weapons and 28 gadgets for their character, with a level-up system that covers more than 99 levels.

Battlefield: Hardline will aim to deliver solid single and multiplayer modes

The new title needs to offer a lot of quality in order to compensate the community for the delays, and that means delivering an interesting experience for both the story and the multiplayer battles.

Visceral Games has said that it will try to take cues from the biggest crime-driven television series and that it wants its players to share the emotions of the main characters.

Battlefield: Hardline is at the moment set to arrive on the PC, the PlayStation 4, the Xbox One and last-gen consoles on March 17 in the United States and two days later in Europe.
