14 DAY TRIAL // Battlefield Hardline is launching as we speak and a pretty serious issue is already affecting PC users who have Nvidia graphics cards, as the game crashes after a certain period of time, displaying a DirectX error message that, so far, has no actual solution.
Barely has Battlefield Hardline been released in North America and other parts of the world, and some errors are already being reported by loyal fans who had pre-ordered the game or waited until release day to pick a copy up from the store.
A DirectX error is plaguing Hardline players on PC
While developer Visceral Games and publisher Electronic Arts ran two major beta tests to ensure the game performs as intended, it seems that the final version of the shooter has a pretty common problem on the PC, as already tens if not hundreds of people are complaining on the forums about a specific DirectX error message.
More specifically, either at start or a few minutes after entering the single-player or multiplayer modes, players are taken back to the desktop and greeted with a DirectX error message that references problems with the game's window size, the video card, the driver for the aforementioned graphics card, or a few other things.
Unfortunately, it seems that the error is affecting PC users with Nvidia graphics cards, both in regular single-card configurations but also those who use SLI, and it seems that it doesn't really matter what driver version they're running, as the error keeps happening after reinstalls or upgrades.
No concrete solution has been found so far, and many tried out lots of various changes to the game's settings, either from the actual client or from the Nvidia Geforce Experience program, but nothing seems to work.
As of yet, Visceral is silent on the matter so it's unclear why Battlefield Hardline keeps crashing and displaying DirectX errors on PCs with Nvidia graphics cards.
