Visceral Games and Electronic Arts have just confirmed that they're going to organize at the 2014 San Diego Comic Con later this month a special panel that will focus on the story in the upcoming Battlefield Hardline first-person shooter.

Battlefield Hardline was revealed to the world earlier this year and, ever since E3 2014 last month, lots of details have appeared about the new first-person shooter in the long-running series and how it will introduce plenty of fresh elements, such as a story focusing on the war on crime in the United States.

Developer Visceral Games has already bragged about taking inspiration from procedural cop dramas on TV, and the studio will go in depth at the San Diego Comic Con later this month as part of a special panel.

"Titled Battlefield Hardline: A Visceral World of Crime and Revenge, the panel will feature Battlefield Hardline Executive Producer Steve Papoutsis and Creative Director Ian Milham, two of the leads on the Dead Space series, as they discuss how they are moving the Battlefield series in a bold new direction," the studio said on the Battlefield blog.

Besides featuring some of the developers behind Battlefield Hardline, quite a lot of voice actors that will be lending their skills to the single-player campaign will also be present at the panel.

"The episodic nature of the single player game will be explored in a panel that will include the cast and crew from critically-acclaimed TV shows and films, such as Bill Johnson (Justified), Kelly Hu (Arrow), Eugene Byrd (Bones) and Benito Martinez (Sons of Anarchy)."

What's more, in order to really delight fans, Visceral Games and EA will also bring fresh footage from the single-player campaign of the upcoming shooter, showing off more insight into the story and how it will be delivered to players once the new title comes out.

In case you forgot, the new title focuses on the war on crime and takes players through major U.S. cities like Los Angeles or Miami.

The Battlefield Hardline San Diego Comic Con panel will take place on Friday, July 25, from 2:30 to 3:30pm in room 5AB, according to Visceral, so fans who are attending the huge event should certainly make room in their schedule ahead of time.

Expect to hear much more about Battlefield Hardline as we get closer to the release of the game on October 21 in North America and October 24 in Europe for the PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
